JDF Editor versions

Brian,

Which JDF Editor version did you download?

In http://jdf4you.org/node/68/391 you will find a folder and a .tar.gz package.

The folder leads to http://jdf4you.org/node/68/392 and contains jdfeditor-2.1.4a.63-bin.zip and jdfeditor-2.1.4a.63-win.zip.

  • The win.zip contains a win exe and unpacks to a folder named jdfeditor-2.1.4a.62-win. Note the difference in build number. When you run the exe and check the build in says 63 and is dated 7 oct 2010 but contains no HTTP server.
  • The bin.zip contains a bat file and unpacks to jdfeditor-2.1.4a.63-bin. The build number is 63 and still dated 7 oct 2010.
  • The folder also contains a mac file, but I cannot test that unless somebody gives me a Mac :-)

So basically, none of the versions in the folder are useful to you. What you need is the jdfeditor-milestone_2010-12-30.tar.gz. It unpacks to jdfeditor-milestone_2010-12-26 and again contains a bat file. Running it says build 63 but this time the build date is 7 nov 2010 AND the HTTP server tab appears.

It seems to be a bit of a mess with the build numbers, build dates and package names.

Good luck.
